Coconut Oil - The best cooking oil

About four months ago, our family made the decision to switch our cooking oils. We used to always use organic extra virgin olive oil until we discovered the hidden danger of cooking with it.

Ideally, it would be best if we could eat our foods raw, but I just haven't reached that point. I'm not sure if I ever will. I just don't find it pleasant to chew on a raw potato, nor do I have time to do it while I'm managing all the other fires in life. The KEY here is using oil for COOKING. I'm not inferring that extra virgin olive oil is not good. I'm just saying it is not the best choice in oils when using it with heating foods. We use olive oil on our salad almost every day.

Coconut oil is virtually the only oil (that I know of) that is safe to eat after it has been heated. When any other oil is heated, it releases toxins into the food that we eat. Coconut oil is the only oil that releases a very minimal amount into our food. It is the safest oil out there and it is great for our bodies. I could go on and on.. Here are some benefits of coconut oil that I found on www.drmercola.com . We use several of his products and many of his health suggestions in our life and we have benefited from his advice on numerous occasions. Feel free to search his website for some great articles on coconut oil. It really is amazing. It's too long for me to post.
